Job Description

Summary:
We are seeking a CT Technologist for a night shift travel contract at their acute care hospital in Eureka, California . This role involves high-level CT imaging in a busy, well-equipped department and may include floating to similar units and occasional shift flexibility. Candidates must be experienced, ARRT certified, and comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes
• Follow protocols for imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain processes clearly
• Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with radiologists and emergency teams when urgent scans are required
• Float between like units as needed
• Adapt to potential weekend day shift schedule based on department needs

Key Requirements:

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or CT program

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of recent CT experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

License/Certification:

• ARRT (R) – Required
• Advanced certification in CT – Required
• BLS – Required
• California Radiologic Technologist License – Required
• Pending licenses not accepted

Skills:

• Strong CT scanning proficiency
• Excellent patient care and communication
• Familiarity with Epic EMR
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to float and adapt to changing schedules

• RTO Policy: Must be submitted at time of application
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per 2-week pay period
