Mechanic - Traditional Schedule

Job description - Hourly Position

The essential functions of this position are:

1. Maintain equipment as assigned based on the operational needs of the mine.
2. Ability to follow and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
3. Knowledge of solid state circuitry electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting
4. Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and all company policies

The marginal activities of this position are:

• Perform any other assigned tasks for which he or she is qualified by virtue of training or experience

Work Schedule

• 12 hour shift (Monday or Friday)
  
• 12 hour shift (Saturday & Sunday - at Time and Half rate)
• Steady Day or Midnight shift

License/Certification:

• WV Miner's Card - Black Hat (Required)
• WV Electrical Card (Required)

Physical Requirements:

• Operate equipment in a safe efficient manner
• Use various hand tools
• Lift, carry, push, pull – tools, materials and supplies 50 – 100 lbs. regularly
• Walk, bend, climb, reach, crawl as necessary
• Work Closely with others in a team environment
